“We couldn’t be more thrilled with the rebranding you guys did for us. It really captures the tone and essence of the Trust and has helped direct us moving forwards. We still get compliments on the logo (and supportive stamps). OH Creative have been – and continue to be- a pleasure to work with.”

The Brief

Create a beautiful and effective identity and digital presence for a charity who help protect bees and their habitats.

Bee Friendly Trust is on a mission to create habitats for honey bees and all pollinators to thrive.

They had an outdated logo and a very basic website that was not helping them engage people in their great work, encourage participation, donations and community projects. Bee Friendly Trust also partner with fantastic brands so it was essential that their website was able to profile them in a professional way.

The team also wanted to be able to sell items on the website with profits going to the charity so a simple and elegant ecommerce solution was needed.

identity

Bees and their hive homes are a rich source for design inspiration. The honeycomb shape is elegant and incredibly recognisable. We paired the honeycomb shape with a graphic representation of the honey bee wing and used a custom font to give a friendly but professional feel.

The main logo is a warm honey colour but looks just as impactful in black and white.

As well as a flexible identity we created a wide range of complementary elements including a hand drawn bee icon, bee dividers and badges for on and offline use.

Small but important details

Web design & development

We wanted to create a clean, modern website with a welcoming feel and a colour palette reflective of nature and pollinator-friendly environments.

The site is filled with small details (such as the little bee that hovers over the menu bar!), bee facts and animated elements.

We added a resource section to help engage visitors old and young and created an online store so the team could easily manage sales of bee-friendly items to help raise funds.
