Helping a local charity with bold ambitions to get the message out about their amazing work all with one aim – Ending Poverty

“Well done to OH Creative – I really think it looks brilliant and it’s so great to see how clearly you’ve linked all that we do and made such an accessible, attractive and easy to navigate website.”

Jen Barnard, Strategy Lead at Good Company (Surrey)

The Brief

Launch Good Company (Surrey) with a brand new look and online presence.

Good Company (Surrey) has been operating in the Epsom and Ewell area for over 10 years as the Epsom & Ewell Foodbank (seeded by the Trussell Trust) and a number of other services for those in need. It was time to provide a central umbrella for each strand of the charity, bringing them all under one home, Good Company.

Our job was to not only come up with a website that engaged and informed visitors but one that also effectively organised and signposted to the various support services provided including the Refugee Network, Poverty Truth Commision and  Epsom Pantry.

identity

Although the Good Company came to us with a finished logo we felt that it needed some additional work to bring it to life and allow for an expanded brand universe.

The existing colours were muted but we felt that the palette should be bright and bold – representing the optimism of the team and theirs aims for a better society.

A gradient background brings freshness and dynamism to their identity and this is echoed throughout the web design.

the website

The Good Company website needed to have impact. Their aim is to end poverty in their community. This is a strong message and the design vision needed to reflect this while retaining a friendly hopeful feel.

Graduated colours and circular imagery give a softer feel to black and white text.

Animated statistics engage visitors and bring to life the importance of the team’s aim.

Overall the site has a large amount of information to provide to a wide range of users, so keeping this information easy to find and clear was an important part of the planning stage.

Marking a 10-Year Journey

In 2022, Epsom & Ewell Foodbank marked 10 years of supporting their community. The team held a Gala Dinner to thank supporters and volunteers and created a number of events to launch their ‘End Poverty Pledge’.

We created this 2m x 2m board to help illustrate the journey so far.
